First off, lovely screensaver. Just what I wanted. But I can’t seem to get the audio to work (MacOS version). Can hear it in the System Preferences panel (both in the Main and Options windows) after I click on the audio button, but this fails to stick, and when the actual sceensaver engages—no sound. What am I missing?

You’re missing nothing with respect to the screensaver audio. I haven’t enabled it yet, as I was working on the assumption that silence would be a better default, especially on offices. As and when time allows, I’ll add a screensaver preferences panel. Apologies for any confusion.
