Bonsoir Thomas,

I researched using the VGA adaptor to project the app for a presentation. It was not as simple as I had hoped, as there is no mirroring support as yet. It's definitely as useful feature though, but it's behind PDF export, social networking and a flexible canvas in the queue.

I want to set up a Vectoria gallery. Do you have any images you feel like sharing with the world yet?

Best,
    Nigel

Bonjour Nigel,

A nice feature would also be support for vga adaptater (external display) I heard that it is quite easy to add to an app and it would permit to use your app to teach programming to kids Using a projector...

Don't you think?

Bonjour Thomas.

Reviews are country specific, so hopefully France will love my app!

PDF creation is quite easy on iOS, as it's built into the operating system, so I won't have to do any low-level programming. I'll also get printing support for free.

Thanks for your suggestions. In turn:

- Export import will definitely happen, and should be quite simple
- I'm going to defer shape filling to Photoshop and the like, via PDF export
- I'll expand the colours fan to support transparency when I get time, as the overlaid lines do indeed create beautiful patterns. Try zooming far in for the best effects.

Thank you for spreading the word. What have people said?

Best,
   Nigel

Bonjour Nigel,

I sent a review last night in french... I don't know exactly how apple store manages reviews but I guess that it will send my review to french speaking people... it may attract some french speaking people to your nice app :-)

I thought again to the postscript export and I think that it can be a one to one correspondance between your commands and postcript ones since postcript embeds a "logo like interpreter" (it may also be the case for pdf but I don't know pdf language) ... even for your repetition command.

I also propose some other improvements:
- import/export of figures into vectoria, so that it is possible to exchange vectoria programs between people
- filling of shapes
- nicer final drawing of crossing lines when using gray scales. In the drawing interface, line crossing are darker than the lines... and it is beautiful. However in the final image, this is not the case!

Best regards,

Thomas
P.S: I also talked of this app with some other Ipad users I know.

Bonjour Thomas.

I'm really happy you like the control system. I spent a huge amount of time working on it, so it's nice to know that it is appreciated (and makes sense!).

Is that your review in the app store? If so merci beaucoup, mon ami!

I'm looking forward to PDF export too. I did some A0 printouts of this: http://concentrichron.com/ and it looked amazing. So I can't wait to see some of the patterns in high detail.

All the best,

I got it.
Its amazing. True.
I am a Logo fan and I must admit that the graphical user interface you invented to ease its use is really smart. I had trouble initially to understand how to select the steps to replay with the "star" button... But now that I understood... I find it really convenient and have no idea of how it could it be better!

I love also the fact that it is possible to transform (after repetition has been done) some of the repeated steps and see immediately the effect.

Looking forward a postscript export (think that you can directly map your basic commands to postscript ones and get something short and elegant)

Thanks again,

Best regards,
